North Queensland Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy

Pablo Cardenas is the chief instructor of the North Queensland Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy.

Pablo started training in martial arts at the age of 14. He commenced his training in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu in 1981 with the World Wing Chun Association (Grandmaster William Cheung).

In 1984 Pablo enlisted into the Australian Regular Army.

In his 21 years of service he was selected for an exchange program with the United Kingdom Military Of Defence (UK MOD) and also deployed to East Timor for peace enforcement operations with the United Nations. He has also trained with the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army.

As well as his initial training under the tutelage of Grandmaster William Cheung he has also studied with Sifu Ian Protheroe and Sifu Dana Wong both senior students of Master Cheung's.

The NQWCKFA is honoured to be affiliated with the Classical Wing Chun Network formed by Sifu Ian Protheroe, a group of like minded instructors devoted to the promotion and advancement of the Art of Wing Chun.
